Seriously, though, this is something I have to remind myself often! I’m sure many of you can relate to having an image in your mind of what you’d like to accomplish or be capable of only to face stark reality staring back at you in the mirror. Over the last week or so, I have been a bit down on myself and somewhat discouraged and, as I type this, I can’t help but feel that this is what I need to hear right now!
I am only human. I make mistakes. I say the wrong thing sometimes. I forget things. I justify and procrastinate. I mess up!
If I allow myself to do what I’ve done many times in my life, I will allow myself to feel defeated and will inevitably fall back into bad habits. The weight I’ve worked so hard to lose will come back. My energy level will drop. My sleep will be even more unpredictable than it usually is. I’ll become exactly who I don’t want to be.
Am I going to allow this to happen? NO WAY!!
Make something happen! Get in a good workout! Do something productive! Read something inspiring! Whatever you do, do something that makes you feel like more than a basic human being! Be extraordinary!
That’s more like it….that’s the attitude I’ve been missing this last week.
Can you relate? Have you felt those times of low motivation? We’re all there from time to time. But I have to ask, what do we do when we fall? WE PICK OURSELVES BACK UP! Taking even a little action can be enough to change your attitude and may just lead to the next action and the next, and before you know it, you are feeling like the superhero you are!
Get up! Get moving! Be the change you want to see!
