Our "Foster Fund" is a tuition-matching GoFundMe campaign started by one of our wonderful Black Belt students in order to provide the children in Gresham's DHS Foster Program with martial arts lessons through our school.

The tuition-matching program makes it possible for foster families to pay half the regular tuition of a full martial arts program while the Foster Fund provides the other half of costs.

​

We currently offer a free Saturday class exclusively to the foster kids of Gresham DHS, but it is a general martial arts fitness class without advancement opportunities. Although it provides kids with great lessons, the Foster Fund expands on those lessons and allows children to be enrolled in the full weekly membership program where they may advance in belts and have the opportunity to learn the full DMA curriculum.

Foster children are especially vulnerable and in need of a supportive, encouraging and positivity-constant environment that will help them to learn important life skills including confidence, boundaries, self-discipline, focus, respect and more.

This program means so much to our DMA family and we are very appreciative of any and all help that you can provide to assist us in keeping this great program running!
